The Psales-Server system is an option for users of the Psales-Rep handheld order taking
system that gives facilities for quarantining orders (for credit vetting, customer account
allocation etc) and reporting
sales statistics
prior to importing downloaded orders into
their back office system.
Additionally users benefit from the system, whilst at Exhibitions,
as it provides facilities for:
Monitoring Stock levels given that reps on the stand are taking orders
Providing statistics about orders taken at the exhibition.
Centralising communications with base computer
If Psales-Server is being used, instead of passing downloaded orders
directly to the users back office system import function, the Psales-Rep download
program places them in the Psales Server database.
If quarantining is required, all new orders will need to be 'released' prior
to import by the back office system.
Printing :-
Orders may be printed (as per Psales-Rep print format) by:
Order range
Individual Order
All "New" Orders
Quarantining and Release :-
On selection of an order (or range of orders),
it's details may be browsed and it's status changed.
For new customers a newly allocated back office account number may also be entered
(if the interface requires this). If changing an order status to "Quarantined",
a reason and action by date will also be prompted.
Updating the Back Office system :-
At any time the Export to Back Office function may be run.
This will transfer all "Released" orders to the users back office system import facility
and relevant order statuses will be changed to "Transferred" - although the orders will
still be available for statistical reporting.
If for any reason, orders do not get successfully imported by the back office system,
the relevant statuses may be reset to "Released" and the transfer re-initiated.
