PSALES-REP - The Mobile Handheld Ordertaking System
Psales-Rep is a handheld order taking system for use by mobile sales reps on the
road or at exhibitions. The Psion Workabout
handheld or Pocket PC - PDA, with integral barcode reader
is used to capture sales order information quickly and efficiently, allowing the sales rep
to concentrate on the customer rather than the process.
Typically the Rep will have a bar-coded price list from which product codes can be
read or codes can be entered.
Stock availability is shown and items entered may be amended, deleted or added to.
A running total of order value is displayed and when complete the Rep may print an order
acknowledgement and, either immediately or at the end of the day,
transmit the orders back to base via a telephone line.
The main features of Psales-Rep are :-
Keyword searches, for products and customers.
Item enquiry - price and stock info.
Customer enquiry - shows details including contact info.
From here the Rep can list:
Customer Orders, to view progress/status of each item.
Outstanding accounts transactions.
Input/Amend Orders.
Barcode or Keyboard Entry.
Print Order Acknowledgement.
Transmit orders via modem.
